Beauty Review: Hot Huez Hair Chalk!

There is nothing wrong with changing up your hair every so often. For some, this may mean a trim. For others, it may mean new highlights. But there are times where you may want to do something a little more…unconventional.

hothuezI have dyed my hair almost every colour over the past ten years. I’ve been lucky in the fact that most of my jobs have welcomed individuality. But what about those working in jobs where alternative hair colours might be prohibited. What if that beautiful green streak would be perfect for the concert or convention that you are attending, but you would need your hair to be back to normal on Monday morning?

While on a stroll at my local Walmart, I noticed a box of Hot Huez hair chalk. It cost $5.88 and promised to be an easy way to change up your hair at any time, with an easy wash-out afterwards. With the hair chalk being so cheap, I figured that I had nothing to lose!

Long story short: it worked. Hot Huez does not leave you with bright colour, but more of a blended colour (at least on dark hair). While it was apparent that I had sprouted green and purple highlights, they were not blinding or “distracting”. Hot Huez takes less than a minute to apply and washes out immediately.

My only real complaint is that touching my hair afterwards left my hands with a faint pink and green tint. If you are wearing a white shirt, the hair chalk may stain it (although it washes out of clothing easily as well.

For something less messy than hair spray, I would recommend the hair chalk especially for its price. You can find Hot Huez hair chalk at most retailers nationwide, as well as online.
