May 2015 Movie Theater Releases

What better way to start off the month than the one Marvel movie we have all been waiting for? I’ll skip the small talk, and go straight into what you can expect for the month of May instead of flowers.

What’s Already Out

Avengers 2: Age of Ultron

The Avengers are assembled once more to fight against Ultron, who was incidentally created by one of their own. Dammit, Stark! Along with the duly expected action-packed fight scenes, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver make an appearance in this as well to add more excitement. Marvel and comic fans, the wait is finally over! Rated PG-13

Welcome to Me

Kristen Wiig plays a woman who wins the lottery, and decides to run her own talk show to talk about, well, herself. Personally, running my own TV show would be fifth to last on my list, but this looks really, really good. Recommended for those who love comedy, and enjoy Kristen Wiig. Rated R

Far From The Madding Crowd

For those who are into Thomas Hardy classics, this is about a woman who inherits a farm and has caught the eye of three suitors: a Sergeant, a prosperous bachelor, and a sheep farmer. Torn between what she wants to do and what’s expected of her, she must make a choice between love or money. Rated PG-13

Before I Wake

Two parents become foster parents to a little boy who has a ever interesting ability: his dreams become reality. As Kate Bosworth looks deeper into his dreams, they also find out one more thing. Not just his dreams, but also his nightmares. This is a supernatural thriller that will make you want to sleep with the lights on. Rated PG-13

Mad Max: Road Fury

Just when you think they couldn’t come out with anymore without Mel Gibson, we’ve been proven wrong. Tom Hardy takes the reins as Mad Max in this next installment along side with Charlize Theron, who wishes to take a group of women across the desert to safety away from Immortan Joe. Love the original Mad Max? If you never seen it and love Borderlands? In love with Tom Hardy? Highly recommended. Rated R

Pitch Perfect 2

The Barton Bellas are back, and this time they’re taking their voices where no talent has gone before: World Championships! They will compete with the top European group and travel the world to prove that they are the best! Rated PG-13

Poltergeist

Remember that creepy little girl who says, “They’re here?” This movie is a reimagination of that classic film that made us terrified of white noise on a tube television, but this time it’s set to modern times which adds promise of this being a bit more scarier. Rated PG-13

Tomorrowland

After this girl finds a random pin that takes her to a place in the future, she seeks out the original owner who ends up taking her to the place where she’s seen. George Clooney plays in this Disney film that is based on the old theme park at Disneyworld itself. Rated PG

San Andrea

California has always been well-known for its tremors and earthquakes. In fact, I’m sure it really comes to no surprise to them. This time, it will come to more than just an aftershock. If you are into natural disaster movies like 2012 and Volcano, add this to your must-see list. Rated PG-13
