Hey guys, I’m back again for my ramblings of Minecraft. This month I bring you crafting, which next to keeping food in stock was the hardest part for me. So we are going to stay at Takagi farm again, it,s where I have the most supplies and things that have been crafted. So scroll down to see me try to figure out…how do you make a pickaxe again?
So when I broke the first pickaxe that my gamer buddy made me, the first thing out of my mouth was “So I broke the pickaxe, how do I get another one?” The first time he handed me another one and I went on my marry way of digging holes. I know I have more then likely said this, but I will say it again, “I like digging holes in Minecraft.” This pattern went on for a good while, finally he told me to make my own. Now up to this point, I had dug my holes, collected ore, gold, iron, etc. put it in a little chest and went back to digging. I had not crafted anything, so can you guess what the question out of my mouth was? If you guessed “How do I make a pickaxe?” then you would be correct. So below is going to be a little picture tutorial of me making a pickaxe out of Iron, you can of course replace the iron with gold, diamond, and wood.
Now pickaxes are a very common thing, you use a lot of them! The best one is made out of Diamond, you just put 3 diamonds in the same place as the 3 Iron Ingots and you’re good to go.
Something that I got a kick out of making were buckets. I don’t know why, but I found it funny. So I would like to do a little picture tutorial for buckets. Now these are useful as well, you can carry milk, water, and lava in them. Or that is just what I have found a use for them for, who knows, there might be something else you can put in there. Now buckets are even easier to make then pickaxes there is only one step. Now I think you can make buckets out of wood, or you use to be able to. I know when I tried the same grid layout with wood it did not work at all. Or I might have misplaced something and thought I did it the same way, who knows? But I make them out of Iron Ingots(bars).
Now buckets will stack when they are empty, unlike most things in the game, buckets only stack 16 to a stack when empty. As soon as you put a liquid in them, the take up 1 square each in your inventory and inventory bar.
It was a while in the game before I discovered boats! And when I did I had so much fun. You can just go zooming across the water and feel the wind in your highly pixelated hair. That is until you run into something or someone else in another boat, then it just splinters into pieces and you are left in the middle of the ocean or lake or pond that you decided to take a ride in pressing the spacebar a lot trying not to drown until you can get to shore *takes a breath*. But for the brief time you have your lovely boat you can just go about your day on the body of water that you choose without a care…I think. I don’t think that there is anything in the water that will attack you if you just sit in a boat…but I would not take my word on it. I’m sure the makers of Minecraft are coming up with something for the boat enthusiast of Minecraft. But without further ramble, here is your boat tutorial. Again it is another easy one just one step involved.
Boats are a lot of fun, and make traveling to different biomes a breeze.
