Persona 5, the video game, was and is my first real dive into the Persona series – or anything from the Shin Megami Tensei series in general, if I’m honest. With bias, the game is faultless. Spotless. A rare shining Continue reading →
Growing up in “nerd” culture as I did, I was absorbed in video games, the Lord of the Rings, and the like. Not so much 80s culture, however. Not as much as Ready Player One, the book, would have Continue reading →
I’ve already seen The Last Jedi, and I wanted to see something with friends on Christmas Eve. The movie I ended up seeing was one of the strangest and most awkward movies I’ve ever watched: Downsizing.
When you think of sequels, you usually think “there is no way this will be better than the original”. When it is, it’s like a pleasant surprise. This was one of those movies. It’s not an amazing Continue reading →
Mother! is one of those films that pops up once in a decade. You can find traces of directors like David Lynch (who are known for making abstract surreal films that borderline being pretentious) in the film. The Continue reading →
If you’re a fan of “Batman: The Animated Series”, then this movie will be a pleasant trip down memory lane. It’s a throwback to the classic series’s episode “Harlequinade”, where Batman and Harley team up to find the Joker. This Continue reading →
Let me start with an apology about how long it’s taken for the second half of this review. As it is sometimes want to do, Life got in the way a bit. So, without further ado, back to the Heleus Continue reading →
After the Christmas special back in December, it was confirmed that season 10 is to be the last season for the 12th Doctor. Rather you love him or hate him he will be remembered in the line-up of doctors in Continue reading →
When I was first introduced to the Ghost in the Shell franchise a little more than ten years ago, I would have never believed the franchise would grow to have a live action adaptation. I was always enthralled by the complex philosophical questions the series brought to viewers, and I have always admired how the manga, films, and anime series all became their own “stand alone” forms for the franchise (yes, the double-entendre was done on purpose).
Gorillaz fans have been long entranced with animated shorts featuring the band. Released periodically, these shorts show some of the antics and misadventures that the band gets into in-between albums, and provides insight into 2D, Murdoc, Russel, and Noodle that Continue reading →

To be honest, and despite the hype, I walked into this film with very low expectations. Don’t misunderstand, I was a fan of X-Men growing up and collected the comics for many years. However, I wasn’t as much a fan Continue reading →
What goes around comes around right? Who remembers the Night Blood (Luna) from the oil rig. You know the one that refused to be the next commander? She and some frineds show up at the gate of Arcadia with a really bad case of radiation sickness. Can you guess what this means? The Radiation is coming!
Bellamy…Sometimes you are the best part of the 100 and sometimes you make me want to scream. In episode 2 of The 100, I do believe Clarke shares that same thought when she sends Bellamy to get the very thing that could save Skykru…just not everyone else. Then Bellamy does what Bellamy does best; the very opposite of what he was told. If you’ve not watched episode 2, stop reading here and seriously go watch.
The new Chapter in the John Wick has just hit the theaters in a blur of amazingly choreographed action. I have to be honest, I wasn’t holding out a lot hope for this movie, despite how much I loved the first one. I was worried they would just do the same old thing. Which it turns out they did, only better. Pay attention Hollywood, this is how you do a sequel.

Ahhhh the 100 is back!!! Okay, whew I had to get that out of my system. Just to make sure you know, this is going to have some spoilers…sorry! I’ll do my best to keep it to a minimum though. But if you did not watch last nights season 4 premier, you might want to wait until you have, before you continue reading this.
